Overview

VIRIFI’s Verification Tool confirms a document’s authenticity and integrity in seconds.
Each verified document is checked against blockchain records to ensure it hasn’t been altered and to validate whether it was issued by a verified organization using VIRIFI.

Steps to Verify a Document

1. Log in and open your account overview
From your VIRIFI dashboard, select the Overview tab. You’ll find quick actions for Certify a PDF Document, Sign a PDF Document, and Verify a Document.

2. Click “Verify a Document”
Select Verify a Document, then drag and drop your file into the upload box or browse from your device.

3. Review the verification result
VIRIFI instantly analyzes your file and shows one of the following status types:

Verification Status Types

3.1. Authentic and from a Verified Issuer

  • The document is genuine, tamper-proof, and issued by a verified organization.

  • Blockchain records confirm:

    • Secured by blockchain

    • Tamper-proof certification

    • Verified issuer

    • Valid

💡 Tip
This status represents the highest level of trust and confirms that the issuer’s KYB verification has been completed.

3.2. Authentic but from an Unverified Issuer

  • The document is genuine and secured by blockchain, but the issuer hasn’t completed KYB verification yet.

  • Blockchain records show:

    • Secured by blockchain

    • Tamper-proof certification

    • Verified issuer

    • Valid

🧭 Note
This status does not mean the document is invalid — it simply indicates that the issuing entity hasn’t yet gained Verified Organization status.

3.3. Document Not Found

  • The uploaded document hash doesn’t exist in VIRIFI’s blockchain database.

  • This means the document was not issued or certified through VIRIFI.

⚠️ Important
If you receive this result, verify that you uploaded the exact original file — even a small change alters its digital fingerprint and will cause verification to fail.

3.4. Document Revoked

  • The document was previously certified but has since been revoked by the issuer.

  • Blockchain records confirm it remains stored but is marked Revoked.

  • The verification result includes:

    • Secured by blockchain

    • Tamper-proof certification

    • Verified issuer (if the issuer was later unverified)

    • Revoked

⚠️ Important
A revoked document is no longer valid for legal or certification purposes. It remains visible only for audit and traceability records.

4. Click “Expert Info” (optional)

If you need technical verification data, click Expert Info to display blockchain identifiers such as:

  • Document Hash

  • Hyperledger Fabric Block Data Hash

  • Hyperledger Fabric Transaction

🧭 Note
VIRIFI verification is powered by a private Hyperledger Fabric blockchain, ensuring data privacy and immutable proof of authenticity.
